} unmemorable title

the past week, I've been waiting for something, and when it finally happens.. I dont know if it's what I wanted, I dunno if its the resolve, the end of the matter. or maybe i was just reading too much into things. =/

anyway, i didnt get to blog about the piano concert that i watched last sunday, so... well it was good! they played some nice pieces, most of them by dead composers whose names i dont know. and the some titles are very unmemorable too, like Piano Suite No. 713487123 or something like that. but, yeah. I still enjoyed the songs that were played, which is probably a first for me.

schezn was like the star player of the night, not just because im so obviously biased, but because she really did play with this AMAZING control and expression. the first piece she performed as a secondo (2nd piano) with yanqin was maybe 10 minutes long, or more than 10 pages long in terms of scores (cos i saw the girl get up to flip the page more than 5 times), and it consisted of a LOT of repeats of the same main melody. but i remained captivated throughout the performance, so that was...wow for me, haha.

then the 2nd piece she performed, she played the primo or 1st piano, and... i dunno. i felt that she had better control than any of the rest. even though she played the main melody she never tried to emphasise it too much, and while other people have to bang their fingers on the keys to maybe display their expression or whatever, her controlled playing was much more admirable to watch. and it sounded more beautiful too.

ok anyway yeah thats all for my piano concert ramble haha. and yes im a big fan of schezn now, as a pianist i mean, she must be the best i know. although i dont know a lot, since im not really a piano/classical person yeah but nvm it still counts.

oh and something i learnt from the aftermath of the concert: do NOT get flowers from the wholesaler unless you want to get at least 10 of the same flowers, and have time to wrap them yourself. yes. on the other hand, flowers from the wholesaler are insanely cheap which is perfect for cheapos broke people like me.

supposed to be doing chem periodicity now. sigh. and have to leave for gp in about an hour..! blahh. today is going to be rather hectic, but looking forward to the good dinner later on..! definitely. =D
