Sorted
by Yvonne Tan

Struggling to hold the boats
together in their places.
The currents are dividing our souls.

The golden thread broke
and we began moving apart.
"What is happening,
why is it so fast?"
You asked fearfully.

Soon your tears dried
for the new surrounding
interest you.

The sun that we once shared
is now separated into millions of light rays.

Before we shrink out of sight
please keep the golden thread.
Broken it may be
it is still part of me.

Before we shrink out of sight
please tell me what you
are thinking right now.
For I can no longer
read your mind.

i would be lying if i said that nothing has changed. but to me you will always be that girl who is nice to everyone, even to those who were left out by others, the only one daring enough to speak out and take action while everyone else hesitates, the one who loves singing Michelle Branch and Kelly Clarkson! haha. you will always be yvonne! =)

and i know this has nothing to do with what happened, but i just wanted to tell you about this post not because of what happened, but because i had wanted to write it anyway. cos seeing that old poem you wrote brought back a ton of memories. and..yeah. i just felt like doing this.
