these days it is good to be independent, an individual. part of my own growing up experience, was also pushing myself to be more independent, to be less afraid of being alone and less dependent on others' whims. it is liberating to know that i can go ahead and do something that i really want without having to wait for others' decisions first because at the end of the day, we don't all have the exact same priorities or likes. there are places i will have to go alone.

but now i find myself reconsidering this -- because there ARE places and things that are much better explored and experienced with other people. it is less lonely, and just more FUN. and going off on your own - makes you lose just that little bit of camaraderie that you might have had. we don't always have to follow our own imaginary itinerary because sometimes it is just better to accommodate for someone else, for company.

it sounds silly but the friends who wait for me to eat together, or to walk together to the bus stop with me, are the friends that i know i should try to keep.
