} about getting to work (finally)

haha. ha. HA HA HA. HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA
(triumphant laughter, not to be confused with evil laughter)

so this morning i got an e-mail from TSMP law corp offering me an internship which clashes with BOTH my internship at Straits AND my family holiday (nice, guys). TSMP also happens to be a firm that i've wanted to intern at ever since i met one of their lawyers, in year 1 (that sounds like a crush.. it's not..). TSMP also happens to be the best paying firm for interns, at $200 a week.

and i had to let it go. :|

so, after crying in the shower, (600 bucks!!!) i wrote out a rejection letter (i even googled 'how to reject an offer you actually want') and explained that due to the clash with another internship, im only free on 27 december. i thought mann im going to sound desperate and theres no way they would entertain me anyway.

but then the lady got back to me saying 'see you on 27th' and i was like YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS...........
400 BUCKS...............! in 2 weeks!!

so that means i wont actually have a lot of time at all before i go to london. but hopefully i'll be able to see the people i really want to see in the evenings, and on weekends. (su - can we prawn at night or on a weekend :()

just realised today how much there is to do in a short amount of time. my visa application was supposed to be all settled yesterday but due to some missing documents (the lady gave me an outdated document checklist the last time..) i have to come back another day to submit. not that there's much to prepare now, but its like this thing bugging me at the back of my head.. and there's also forms to be submitted to CTLS, the school in london. and then the left-over worry that i dont actually have a place to stay, yet. :/

and then theres exams to think about too, of course. i met juns' friend sabrina while going up to school and we found out we were taking almost exactly the same modules, and started freaking out while walking up the hill when we realised how little time there is. i hope my sitting through EVERY SINGLE banking lecture helps ... at least my karma, if not my knowledge on banking law. T_T also sitting through EVERY SINGLE Evidence tutorial with Winslow. mann.

its time to get to work, i think. :)

(well.. it was time to get to work a long time ago actually i guess. but uh. *shifty eyes*)
