} the death of Geocities

well so i just found out today that my blog had turned invisible. after a few moments i realised it was because my background was gone, so i went over to geocities (where i uploaded the picture) and...poof, GEOCITIES IS GONE! yahoo decided to kill it. :(

if we could just dedicate a few moments to Geocities, home of my first website and rambling ground (hopefully yours too), long before blogs became cool,

well since i havent found anywhere else to upload the picture (photobucket automatically resizes the picture, the sneaky basterds) i guess a plain bg will just have to do. and to keep up the old-school feel naturally i had to pick a tacky colour... (hint: turning down your monitor's brightness helps. its probably better for your eyes, anyway.)

but ok thats not what i wanted to blog about today hahaha. i was just going to blog about going to the subordinate courts, intending to watch a trial to hopefully help with my trial advo assessment tomorrow, but then chickening out, and realising how weirdly morbid it is to be watching other people's affairs..... but ok the news about geocities totally threw me off and now im not in the mood anymore. :|

i mean, without a warning! if diaryland just decided to quit one day, i would lose 7 years' worth of ramblings, which i guess aren't worth much outside of sentimental value, but... sigh. i would be pretty devastated. :(
