} we'll meet again someday on the avenue

oh KT how are you so awesome? :/
(on a sidenote: im so bummed, i went to gramophone and there was a sale and i thought i found a bob dylan cd for 3.95 but it turned out to be a cover version by another musician. aureughruahghr)

i had an exhausting weekend... the moment i came home from crim tutorial i had to start on my appellants memo, which took a whole night minus a 2 hour nap. by the time i finished it was sat morning, so i rested for a while, then started to prepare for the brudders picnic. (i make the world's best mashed potatoes! ...acc to 2 people at least haha)

then i went to holland v to collect the BALLOONS =) which looked so nice and happee! haha. but as i was doing so i just realised a problem - i couldnt take the bus cos i was afraid to burst one of the balloons. =| so i walked to serene centre. which was kinda tiring but also fun, seeing people's reactions to the balloons hahaha. i believe in the magical effect of balloons now, too! haha. i believe no one can ever explain what it is about many flowers and/or many balloons that make people so happy.

then i met am & den to buy food from cold storage.... but then it RAINED argh so our picnic plan was ruined. :( so we went to my house instead and we couldnt embarrass novita with the party hats and the poppers :( but at least it was still fun hahaha. watched nick & norah's infinite playlist, which is a good movie, i actually liked the plot although ive heard that its lacking, cos its nice and simple. simple plots only fail when they're supposed to be complicated. haha but this was funny and heartwarming and, underrated!!

then we played wii omg hahaha we just had to finish the whole game of Wario Ware just to get to the multiplayer option, but in the end the multiplayer part wasnt that fun. -_- but oh well hahaha the games were really very fun & funny hahahh.

then den & nov & i went to den's house, went to ramen ten for dinner. DO NOT EVER GO THERE. it sucks. the only thing that was remotely good was their sashimi, which says something about their cooking quality, or lack of it. by the time we reached her house i was kind of very very very tired to be honest, had a hard time keeping my eyes open. the prospect of doing the ocbc cycling volunteer event after not sleeping for 2 nights wasn't very appealing, and i kept wishing i had backed out, but it turned out to be quite good so im glad i didnt.

so, at 2.30am clement our chauffeur of the day (haha) dropped nov & i off at boon lay where we caught the shuttle bus to millenia walk. it was kind of scary and suspicious cos the bus was just in the dark and there wasnt anyone in charge and we were speculating if it would end up taking us to some construction site instead hahaha. well it wasnt thankgoodness and we reached the site at about 3plus, and we met the other volunteers and we started playing bridge lol. i think i may have lost my touch at it :( but hopefully i just needed to warm up or smth hahah.

first race flagged off at 6. that was the most horrible time, i kept nodding off and falling asleep for a few seconds, even when i was standing up. :/ first race was quite bad because we kind of screwed up...procedure and all was kind of confusing, but over time i realised our role wasnt that important, cos they had official timers with their much more sophisticated technology and everything. -_- i realised our main role was just to spot the winners and catch them, literally, so they dont run off before the prize giving. aiyah.

then a long break in between the first and second race, which was horrible cos we were bored AND tired. -_- managed to catch a bit of sleep but it was sweaty and lethargic arrrrgh.

second race was much better cos there were fewer racers, and we worked out what we were going to do first so everything went quite smoothly. it was pretty cool meeting the professional cyclists, they are all soo frikkin toned i think there cant be a single ounce of fat in their bodies. :/

so yeah, the second part of the day, watching the races and everything kind of made up for the whole event... :) i think i like watching sports events in general, probably the reason why i always kind of enjoyed school Sports Days even though i have about 0 school spirit? hahha.

anyway then got home, felt very happy and grateful to be able to take a nice shower, and we went for family dinner at sun&moon which is the best japanese place i've ever eaten at, for my mums birthday. =) (i got her sense & sensibility dvd cos i know she's never finished reading the book in..years, literally) and then we got home and i zonked out for the next half a day.

and i spent the day slacking and playing guit and watching House! yayyy. too bad though tomorrow will have to be more active/productive. :/

anyway, an outlet. i dont think you read this but you are starting to bug me. :/ you think you're better than us, dont you? i get that things are better for you now when they used to be sucky but, please, take some humble pie..
