} more chickaflickas

when i go to school i often feel like i am terribly unworthy of joining the throng of law students complaining about their workload, because e.g. just this past few days i watched 2 DVDs. :/

In The Land Of Women is a surprisingly good chick flick! i thought it would be a brainless show about some typical sexy-goodlooking guy shagging a girl, her mother, and then maybe even having a go at her 11-year-old sister too... (thats how the synopsis at the back made it sound like.) but it was very refreshing to watch a movie where people can fall in love without sleeping together. cos thats what happened, i think - the main character fell in love with a mother and 2 daughters, individually in a different way. and they with him. see, now when i put it like that it sounds wrong. but the movie reminds us that theres so many different kinds of love. not easy to find in hollywood nowadays.

The Holiday is a bit more hollywood-ish but still very very worth watching because Kate Winslet is a goddess! the cameron diaz-jude law romance was kind of sloppily done though, although there are sweet bits in it too. all in all a good film.

someone should make short movies on important cases, just 15 mins each even, and then i'll be an ACE law student.
