work yesterday was fun with jean and esther (and zi xuan and salima and ningru and frank) (and boss... HAHA riight. well he wasnt being an ass at least). and i bumped into nicole figuratively, always nice to see a familiar face among the tables of anal customers. =) i know these max brenner days (cue soap opera music) wont last forever so i should really try to enjoy all my shifts.

and...something that i love! is the current art work being exhibited in the esplanade underpass. its a collection of photos titled 'Days With My Father'... (link)

most of the time i dont really like the artwork that they show at the esplanade... they usually seem too contrived. trying too hard to look cheem. =/ but sometimes theres stuff like this thats more sincere, more understandable by mere people like you and me, more easily appreciated...?

i like these pictures cos they make people slow down to look. from families to young people to concert goers to aunties & uncles to the max brenner waitress who's late for work, they all Stop and Stare. (really. walk through the underpass one day and see for yourself.) the only other occasions ive seen that happen is when theres an accident on the road.

ok il stop rambling now hahah i get really geeky about things like this. hmm 7.5 hours to do my readings and research project! bahhh humbug. :(
