yesterday, i went home to find out that i had received a letter from RISD. tired and indifferent, i put off opening it and plopped down to read the book im currently reading (A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth - finally i decided to tackle that monstrosity) and went to the kitchen from time to time for snacks since i was too lazy to make a proper dinner.

my mum asked me why i wasnt opening it. i told her it wouldnt make a difference anyway, right? i hate myself for being so caustic but im still bitter. mental note to take denise's advice tomorrow and ask my mum why exactly i cant go overseas (is it just the money?) and talk rationally.

after that i took my shower. lay in bed, took down my expenses for the day (ever since the 500 bucks expenditure in march i decided i need to be more strict with myself), pondered over 2 unaccountable dollars and, finally, opened the letter.

i saw the words 'We regret to inform you...' and I just sighed. i could have smiled to myself a bit, even, dont remember.

its less painful this way.

anyway, bravo to glory for her final musical theatre performance yesterday! =) i know it was a small performance but it was really good. not that i can judge, but, i thought it was good. =P didnt know she can belt out a tune so strongly (small figure big voice eh heheh) and the first part of the monologue was very moving. so, WELL DONE GLORY!

also bravo to denise, although she doesnt read this, just for surviving her final projects. i visited her while she and her classmates were working and even i felt frustrated, impatient, irritated, etc. i think i've become more irritable since last year. gah. :/
