} just a thought

watched sweeney todd (btw, i think coincidentally johnny depp's name is similar to sweeney todd? the double letters, the number of syllables, they almost rhyme...rhythmically. or something. anyway) yesterday & it was good. i really liked the singing and the characters! the acting and casting was spot-on, especially for the two leading characters. denise, however, said it was just 'okay'. i guess after thinking about it there is just something missing that prevented me from feeling anything, for the characters esp. (i couldnt really sympathise/empathise with any of them, just thought some/most of them would be happier dead.) i think what was missing was DRAMA.

one football match has more drama than sweeney todd, i think. just look at liverpool, out of the FA cup although they were champions in 2006. with all the money and publicity affairs, unpredictability is pretty much the only thing thats keeping this game fair for all. the ball is round indeed.

im not a 'hardcore' fan but i like looking at football pictures cos each one seems to freeze a different moment, different emotion. no matter how unglam some of them are, haha. its amazing how much emotion 22 people chasing after a ball can evoke.

and then there is this picture. its different from the normal ones, minimal action going on, but already one could guess the outcome of the match just from looking at it. i support neither clubs (i dont like the big clubs) but i cant help feeling for these 2 people here...both the glory and the responsibility carried on their shoulders (right to left, respectively).
