} beauty is in the eye of the bee-holder!

today was a bit of an adventure... went to study at the National Library with denise & suhui.. but unlike them i had nothing to research so i just brought my maths & physics tutorials. the trouble is, Nat Lib doesnt allow people to enter the reference lib with their own notes/materials, only like blank writing paper and stationery. so.......

it was time to put my 70%-discount-MNG-jacket to good use, and i hid my notes & tutorials in a folder in the jacket. while wearing it. =D i was damn scared to tell the truth, cos it might all fall out anytime but very very fortunately the guard didnt see anything fishy and only checked my (small) bag, and even then she didnt see the pencilcase & calculator inside. =D i was so relieved. but i dont think i will dare to do the same thing again anytime soon. =|

it might have been the thrill of nearly getting caught, but i felt more determined to make full use of the successful entry into the lib. haha. i sound like im smuggling drugs or smth. anyway. i ended up being more productive than usual, and finished my complex # tut! except for assignment. aha. and 1 phy question. which is more than i usually get done in a day, so.

suhui found some very interesting books... 1 was on US colleges, as testified by the ex-students themselves... it was pretty interesting, like how Yale students, when asked to describe their alma mater in 5 words, said 'So much better than Harvard'. haha. of course, seeing their loyalty its hard to know if the book is really reliable.. but in any case, it seems like the fees average about $30,000 a year, so even if i found a college im really interested in, i wouldnt be able to afford it anyway. =/

then theres a book called Everyday a Holiday, and it really contained holidays for every single day of the year, haha! like (mark your calendars everyone!) 16 jan is National Nothing Day, which is a day to sit around and do absolutely nothing. =D theres also a day sometime in september for Be Late For Something Day... i cant remember the exact date now though haha. denise's bday falls on Idaho Spud Day! the day to celebrate the joy of potatoes. =D shes so lucky to be born on that day. =(

o yea and denise picked out some very cool Renaissance books cos it was kind of part of her research. =) renaissance paintings are very cool! half of them involve nudes, 90% of which are women. sorry that wasnt meant to have any point, it was just an observation (cos we were helping her look for pictures she might need for her research haha). shes doing such FUN stuff for school assignments.. sigh im jealous. haha. but on the other hand i dunno yet if this is really what i want. im too indecisive..! argh! =(

aaand i ended off the day by having a bit of guit practice while watching ugly betty and america's next top model! antm is always fun to watch heh. I like Anchal... she's very pretty..! and she looks like a Bollywood star. =D I like Megan (is that really her name, the slightly tomboy-ish one) too, cos she reminds me of the other girl in the prev season (Kim i think). anyway, i want project runway! i thought they had another new season already, why isnt it being shown .. =(

pretty good day today. =D
