} blogging

been reaching home past midnight for the past 2 days. (that is, thursday n friday. technically its already saturday now.) thurs was the guit bbq and we had to walk quite a long way just to find a bus stop where we can take a bus to the nearest mrt, although thankfully managed to catch both train and bus.

today however was a different story. after loafing around plaza sing we (brudders) decided to loaf around novita's house instead which is at toa payoh (and i felt like smacking myself cos i was just going further & further away from home but anyway i still went haha). this time although i knew exactly how to go home, i missed both the last train & last bus. Fantastic. so denise and i had to take a cab home in the end. luckily it wasnt as expensive as i expected of a midnight charge...

well although im quite tired now i guess its ok. will be home for the next 2 days anyway, rushing my chem homework. =|

anyway, yesterday diaryland was down, and i was in a panic for a while. i dont think i can bear losing this blog. i mean, i have a grand total of 741 posts including today's, and in fact when i copy&pasted the list of past entries into ms word, it made the whole program lag. haha. how many bloggers out there can actually boast having more than 700 posts in their blog? or kept the same blog for 5 years, for that matter. or changed the layout, like, about 15-20 times.

a few years ago, i used to wonder when i would stop blogging. i didnt even consider the question of IF, i only considered the WHEN. i figured that as i get older i would a)not have time to keep updating and b)be mature enough to handle things in my life without having to complain about them. but if i can have the time to blog during my A level year (ahem), and seeing as im still a loser after 5 years' worth of added maturity (hopefully), i dont see myself stop blogging unless a)one day i cannot use my hands anymore (choy), b)i die (choy), or c)i get marooned on a desert island with no connection to the internet whatsoever.

nowadays blogging is like a trend. there are people like mr brown and xiaxue and who knows who else getting popularity, blogging about controversial things. back when i first started, im not sure if i even knew that what i was doing is called blogging.. =| for me blogging is essentially the same as the age-old tradition of writing in a journal. the purpose is simple; to put down my thoughts, any thoughts at all.

i dont share my blog with people openly, or if i ever did then i dont do it anymore. like some people publicise it and ask people to tag or whatever... i dont think i had a tagboard until a year or two after i started. at times i get carried away and start writing as though my posts are meant to be read by a lot of people, but they end up sounding fake, i think because it was never meant to be that way. my blog was not started with the intention for people to read, i guess thats why its so boring. its really, more than anything, just a way for me to be able to look back and see what a weirdo idiot i have been all my life.
