} chingay 07

ok, so the real day of chingay parade wasnt so bad. it wasnt as boring as yesterday (the preview) at least, when we were basically pillars. (supposed to do crowd control, but no crowd to control. bish.) today LUCKILY we were transferred to another sector, where there was more to do and more to see. me and yingri got transferred to yet another sector again to help though, and ended up being crowd control cum ushers, but ushering wasnt so bad, quite fun really.

after the whole thing, we got back to our own sector and made a human barricade to prevent people in the after-party from crashing into the rest of the parade (because while one sector is partying the others are still having the parade - orchard road is very very long). at first we werent very effective, this bunch of girls actually tried begging with me and then ran past me. crazy ah lians. seriously.

we were actually dismissed after that, but later on they needed more volunteers to help with clearing the road (so that they can open it up to traffic again) and i decided to stay back and help out... human barricade again! but it was more fun this time because it was nearly midnight and everyone was so high. haha. we started shouting 'bye!' at people (in a friendly way!) as we shooed them off the road...

well anyway, so today kind of made the chingay experience worth it. maybe if i had gone for the previous sessions with a more positive attitude i might have enjoyed them more too. maybe i just didnt give 100%... haha. dunno really. oh well. wadever lah. its over. =P another time another chance.
