} bookworm-y mood

just finished reading hound of the baskervilles. now im in a holmes mania, haha. the other time, during promos period, my mum was cleaning out the house and found an ENTIRE BAG full of sherlock holmes stories, all printed out. a whole stack! my sister must have printed them out last time cos she's into this kind of murder mystery stuff too. gonna start of them as soon as possible now, ahaha.

i think its a good time to pay a visit to the lib since im in such a good reading mood hehe. =D wheeeee. it's times like this that i feel like such a nerd. (other times im still a nerd, but i dont always feel like one.)

anyway, today my parents and me and my brother went to eat at CRYSTAL JADE after church. hoho. =D noticed that great world city changed a bit since the last time i came to church which was... several weeks ago hahaha. =x they have a ben&jerry's there now! and there's some new shops at the basement, including some gourmet meat shop which doesnt really interest me and i dunno why im even talking about it, haha. =D (although i guess if you have been reading my blog you would have noticed that a lot of stuff here is very incoherent and belongs in No-Link.Com .)

anyway, my maid is going home, permanently i think, and although i think thats better for her its definitely the worse for us. im not surprised since my mum treats her like shit, well not really, but shes not very nice to her anyway. yes, so, for the next few days/weeks/months/years, we will be under the rule of my mother's totalitarian ways, until she eventually gives in and gets another maid.

theres always the chance that she wont get another one of course. in that case im hoping that i can move out in 1.5 years time since i'll be going to uni anyway. its not that i have an aversion (new word!) to housework, i actually kind of like washing dishes and ironing (i love ironing, haha). oh well. i guess i will get to do a lot of that from now on. =D

yesterday was nj open day... quite strange, didnt feel like open day at all. it was so empty. and unhappening. haha, cant think of another word that can describe it. its quite sad cos i think all the councillors and the cca groups put in a lot of effort into it. during lunch a few of us talked about why nj open day is so unattractive... and came to a conclusion which is not very definite but quite possible anyway.

cos its very controlled by the people at the management. the people Up There. they have a tv commercial, some ads on buses. sure its very professional, but its all so... proper. businesslike. theres barely any sense of FUN in it. it doesnt exude the (non-existent) vibrant atmosphere which is virgina cheng's fave way of describing the school. (insert skeptical cough here.)

funtasia was the same too. every stall had to submit a PROPOSAL. which has to be accepted and approved by the People Up There. so although it IS the students doing the work, its not exactly planned by the students. to give a clearer picture, its not like the school said to all of us, 'OK YOU'RE FREE TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!'. its more like, they give us this enclosed space and then they say, 'ok, NOW you can do whatever you want.' i hope that makes sense.

and while all this controlled procedure produces good results.. as in, everything turns out OK. nothing goes wrong. but nothing REALLY GREAT ever happens either.

oh well. im done complaining now since i wont do anything about it anyway haha im quite a hypocrite. i just think its sad. o well.

OH and i got to try out playing an electric guit & a bass, im such a loser for being so excited over this but i am hahahahahhaa. =D i really want an electric guit now =D but i still want an acoust more.

anddddd yeap obviously i just changed the layout, featuring Third Eye Blind. =D theres actually another guy in the band but i had to cut him out because he looked distorted in the original picture. i also changed the tagb to cbox after zonglings recommendation heheh. =D (yesyes you told me so.)

and this sums up another boring uneventful weekend in my boring uneventful life. now stop reading my blog and go and do something useful, haha. =D

BTW, i just remembered that on friday i found out that i improved for physics. by friggin 29%!!!! hahahahaha im so happy. i dont care even if i fail maths now hahaha i cant believe i really improved that much. =D
