} book meme

i saw this on the blog that i found yesterday and remembered that i saw it on suhui's blog before and i WANTED to do it but i forgot so here i am to do it now cos i have nothing to do and my fruits basket downloads keep stopping halfway.

/end of blabber

here we go:

1. one book you have read more than once
journey's end by R.C. Sheriff. actually it's a play. but it comes in a book, so. it counts. the strange thing about Lit text is that it gets better every time you re-read it. i re-read this one even after i stopped using it in school.

2. one book you would want on a desert island
the Bible by Jesus. (His Dad helped.) just so i don't go crazy. and this way, i might just be able to finish reading at least one book of the Bible, for once.

3. one book that made you laugh
feeling sorry for celia by jaclyn moriarty. my sister bought this for me a few years ago. she can pick out good books... unlike me. :/

4. one book that made you cry
harry potter and the half-blood prince by jk rowling. im such a wuss, but i really cried when dumbledore died. (that rhymed! =D)

5. one book you wish you had written
the little prince by antoine de saint-exupery. here's a guy who took everything about life and condensed it into this simple but really really great book.

6. one book you wish had never been written
the purpose-driven life by rick warren. i got a mini version of this book as a confirmation gift, and although i had always been skeptical of how it stayed so long on the bestsellers shelves, i wanted to give it a chance, i really did. especially since so many people obviously find so much meaning in it. but i read it, and i even tried forcing myself to pick out things i liked about it, but i couldnt. it's everything i've heard before, and unfortunately i don't agree with much of it.

7. one book you are currently reading
none. whoops.

8. one book you have been meaning to read
the time traveller's wife by an author whose name i can't spell. sorry. i can never find it when i go to the library. maybe i should learn the spelling of the author's name so i can search for the author instead next time.

9. one book that changed your life
i don't think any book has done that yet. =) the books that promise to change lives (life of pi, tuesdays with morrie) have been kind of disappointing so far. :/

o well actually i dont even read that much and i feel like a know-it-all, doing this meme haha. :P i'm not a general book lover, i cant pick out good books and i have to wait for people to recommend books to me. :/ if not i would just end up reading harry potter all the time, hahaha. :D

anyway i wasted enough time and im hungry now. heh. goodnight. =)
