i watched wheel of fortune today. the participants were... weird. actually two of them once. one of them is perfectly normal, sandwiched in between the two weird ones, poor girl.

one is this guy called John, who was apparently high on caffeine, because he kept jumping around, and laughing, and cheering. when he solved a puzzle he actually literally bounced on the spot, going 'wahoo' and stuff. the other weird one is an extremely old great grandma, called Nancy, who tried to hit on the host. (i.e., flirt.) i don't think i need to go into details.

anyway so at first the Normal participant was being the brainy one, solving puzzles when there were only 2 letters shown, wth. but in the end nancy won, surprisingly. john didnt care. too busy bouncing.

so this nancy won $5500, and she won. can you imagine how easy it was just to get 5k??? man, it's so unfair. and guess WHAT. when this nancy got into the bonus round she managed to solve the puzzle. (answer was 'power windows'. er.) guess what she won!!

!!!

$100,000!!!

as in, US dollars! 100 US PEANUTS!!!!!! if we had that, the WHOLE of ARC can go watch the eufa euro 2004, or even go around the whole world, and afford all the airsick pills needed for the poor unfortunate souls out there who can't stand being on a plane. we will rock njrc! the first school ever to get our funds through a game show!!

gahh. i wish.

but a 100 PEANUTS! if i could just win that much i think even if i don't spend it within my lifespan i would be exhilarated enough just to know i managed to win that much. 100K leh.

anyway. today's bball game was so fun! as usual lah. want to play again......... soon. :)) my feet are blistered now, but oh well. i already got a sprained finger and head and stomach injuries, so i think i'll live. heh.

today yufang translated a chinese bball manga to me and elsie. yippee yay! its the one with the bball player guy who really looks like a girl. no really. i suspect some gayism in the story SOMEWHERE. but anyway the book was damn nice. never found a BOOK about BBALL so exciting in my whole life.

am looking forward to arc camp... i think. can't wait to try chopping wood! haha. hope i dont accidentally chop myself or something. o_o (i have bad aiming.) not looking forward to the hike though. i hate hikes. i hate hate hate. i always nearly die halfway through. wonder who i'll be sharing the tent with, besides michelle.. and i hope mich doesnt tell too many ghost stories. :S but i guess i can live with anyone. just for 3 days anyway. if i dont die from the hike first, that is.

arsenal won the barclaycard (sp?) championship. man u only got 3rd. wah lao. but man u is quite crap now lah.

since i learned from the bball manga today that a bball game is quite fun to look at, i'll attempt to watch more of bball from now on. whee.

am looking forward to the ij combined mass now. want to see the little pri sch midgets, hee. :D the hymns are nice too. for once. and the brudders are going together, yay! if more arc people are coming maybe we can, i dunno, sit together too?

ok. shall go read the roald dahl treasury that i borrowed frm gloria now, and pretend i'm still 6 years old.
